I'm working on a how-to on not spreading disinformation but I feel like advice is basic AF. But also I see smart people not doing these "basic" things all the time.

I’ve definitely done this. There’s a lot of ready-fire-aim going on at the moment. It’s a combination of believing the worst, volume (firehose to the face), & wanting to feel like you’re doing something even if it’s effectively nothing (sharing). It’s not good.

It was a good summary. The example with the family that went to Russia was a perfect example. I think I ended up sharing that one before I didn’t tbh.
