Our moment is essentially the re-importing of the practices of Guantanamo. That is the only way to make sense of military tribunals for immigrants.

To be clear, I don't believe that. I want the us buying the Boca Juniors number ten and the Liga MX Golden Boot winner like we used to. I think I was putting my Schmetz cap on there.

I think this win, more than the others is a vindication of the current Sounders model, a proof of concept if you will. Seattle is now like a North American Ajax and just defeated the equivalent of City or Chelsea.

Perfect. While I am enjoying the Moose Renaissance as much as anyone, it screams sell high to me. I reckon moving him for GAM and Obed for ten million gives CW flexibility to start looking for upgrades.
Nate Bowling (@natebowling.com)
Are NBA style sign & trade deals a thing in MLS? If so, I wouldn't mind if in the off-season CW extended Moose and then moved him, preferably to the East. He's about to hit 30. This feels like a "sell high" moment and I think DeRo is clearly a suitable backup. After we win the double, of course.

I also think there's anger in the fanbase around the lack of summer moves under CW because many of us recall Garth saying repeatedly the summer window was the preferred window in which the most talent was available, team weaknesses were apparent, and thus it was the best window to shop.
Nate Bowling (@natebowling.com) reply parent
I'm pretty meh on the U22 thing. The biggest needs on this roster are a left back who isn't a head case and CR7 insurance. If they weren't going to invest in those, I'd rather they just go get the best available attacker from USL-C and see if they would Moose their way into the rotation.

Then CW should say that! "We think KKR gives us a good enough option out right, that we can move Alex central, and that's why we didn't prioritize improving our situation at central midfield.
