To be clear, I don't believe that. I want the us buying the Boca Juniors number ten and the Liga MX Golden Boot winner like we used to. I think I was putting my Schmetz cap on there.
I think this win, more than the others is a vindication of the current Sounders model, a proof of concept if you will. Seattle is now like a North American Ajax and just defeated the equivalent of City or Chelsea.

I also think there's anger in the fanbase around the lack of summer moves under CW because many of us recall Garth saying repeatedly the summer window was the preferred window in which the most talent was available, team weaknesses were apparent, and thus it was the best window to shop.
