I'm pretty meh on the U22 thing. The biggest needs on this roster are a left back who isn't a head case and CR7 insurance. If they weren't going to invest in those, I'd rather they just go get the best available attacker from USL-C and see if they would Moose their way into the rotation.
Yeah I tend to agree that (as much as a lot of folks really hate to hear it) the top end is not the problem, and getting even deeper in DM and defense is more important over the next 2 years for winning things than anything else. No u22? Who cares. No vets for backup? Kinda miffed.
I also think there's anger in the fanbase around the lack of summer moves under CW because many of us recall Garth saying repeatedly the summer window was the preferred window in which the most talent was available, team weaknesses were apparent, and thus it was the best window to shop.
