Same Although in my case i have some that should not be mixed, but I take them as needed. So... do I lie and say no or do I say yes, I will take thoses drugs that might be synergistic. There is no option for "I am a grown up and don't do stupid stuff on purpose."

True But in my case I have a prescription for an anti-anxiety drug and one for a fairly strong pain med and have had for 20ish years. I take as needed Taken together... bad. But if I am hurting enough to take the pain med, anxiety isn't even in my realm of the possible, all is pain. No issue

based on later happenings, I think what's happened is that my new doctor sent a set of prescriptions to the pharmacist without telling me he was gonna do that. which is a problem because I've already got those prescriptions from a different doctor. so I think their system thinks I'm on DOUBLE MEDS

they now told me the medicine (which was available before) has a problem and they need to talk to my doctor probably all they're asking is "does foone intend to take this medicine?"

I'm like 90% sure this is for the same reason it's illegal to accidentally shoot a doe while hunting. By saying yes it shuts down lines of defense like "Oh but I was buying it for someone else" or "I was getting it as a backup supply". I have to do the same thing for my ADD meds.
yeah I'm used to similar things with ADHD meds, it's just weird to get it out of nowhere just to ask for a drug you can't really abuse.
