i see a massive astroturfing effort to rehabilitate newsom's image and cover up his bad parts and im really not down with it. he's a good soldier for the cause right now but i quite literally would sit out of an election with newsom on the ballot

you can yell at me and say that's a shit take but in a post keir starmer world we all know how this is going to turn out and i cannot in good conscience place a vote that would almost certainly be just as destructive for trans rights as the far-right themselves

let me remind you that keir starmer the entire time campaigned purely on the exact "compromise"-focused optics newsom is doing and only showed his true face after taking power. nowadays british TERFism has infested the american elite so the same story will likely repeat
