I am puzzled: Dems are said to be losing voters by the trainload, but they are up 8 on generic ballot and keep winning special elections.

I think these special elections have been very low turnout and republicans dont care unless daddy trump is on their ballot So the party can be overperforming in small turnout races while the party nationally isn't registering voters
