an hour of your life is a lot but it's a sacrifice we're willing to make :P

I’d absolutely play those 10 seconds.
The remolarizing part can be that those 10 seconds can be played by hundreds of people which should make their combined playtime up for that hour :)
Ask a stop motion creator about that stuff. Crazy right, or old school drawing cells by hand to create film. I'm in awe of art of all types. Why is your time spent demoralizing. Be proud
This is so sick, can't wait to see future progress
I remember an analysis of I believe it was Mass Effect where it was determined that, in a typical playthrough, the player experiences original art assets at the rate of roughly one thousand dollars' worth per second
clearly we need to beat those production values, but we'll use human suffering instead of USD as it seems set to replace it as the de facto trading currency.
An hour well spent, followed! The animation reminds me of Toy Story 2 meets Rocket Robot on Wheels, excited to see what's next!
how do I play this?
This specifically? You'll have to wait for the full release, but I've got a sort of demo if you'd like to play around with it (there will be bugs) dean-sick.itch.io/puppy-truck-...
cool I think my 4yo and I will enjoy playing this tonight during video game time!
I don't know what this is but it looks like a blast and something I'd do obsessively.
this is like one of the only reasons ive not dived into game dev its too intimidating
there are lots of games that have a much better ratio of design time to play time, don't let that part scare you off.
if it's any consolation it looks like a sick ass 10 seconds
as one who knows nothing of this work, it is just amazing - I can only imagine the talent and thinking that goes into it.💚💚
What is the name of this game I need it on my wishlist
how could it be demoralizing? you've made a finished part of your level design. an hour could be two or three, debugging and creating everything in an hour is something to be proud of
Oh, just the mountain of time left is all. I'm grateful for the foundation and the work that's gone in
Be grateful you didn't take up claymation
Holy hell, you can do all this in an HOUR? That's incredible. Even if if doesn't meet your own self-standards, even it's not where you'd want to be, this is amazing to me.
That looks fun! I would be proud of that!
Feels a bit like Mushroom Men, and that's no bad thing.
Welp, it’d take me at least a month to model, set up, learn to animate the car, playtest and implement everything before playtesting it. Sooo.
2 years of dev before this, the time commitment is real
Well, it looks like it’s almost there!
If you think about it that’s actually an incredible ratio. As a rough estimate it takes about 48 hours to make 10 seconds of, like, a movie.
They're getting paid though lmao
It's beautiful
if 360 people play the game, then it actually took 1 hour to make 1 hour total of platforming.
so you're saying it's basically free
Yes, but if at least 3600 people watch it and get some joy out of it, you've at least broken even, right! :)
That's the same way I feel about animating.
it looks amazing though, tysm for your work and effort
To be fair, how many players will be playing your game? 360 players means you break even.
the usual solution is to make the player collect 10 tomatos per area + every secret golden stapler
Kinda reminds me of Space Station Silicon Valley for the N64
looks amazing as always tho!
This is cute and cool.
a very dynamic and fun 10 seconds, but it's a lot of fine adjustment to minimize jank on the main path
But if you do a good enough job making it interesting, some psychopaths will take more than an hour trying to do it in less than 10 seconds
Yup
