Greens and Libertarians run someone every time. It's not that. I think First Past the Post keeps any challengers from rising up. Approval or STAR voting would change the game in a way that RCV does not (but seems like it should)

Think of it like rating every candidate 0-5 stars. The two with the most stars go into instant runoff, and then each ballot counts as a vote toward they one they rated the highest. Very expressive. No spoilers. You can rate two ppl the same. Voting your fav always helps them win.

I think we have to form our own, dual power system operating outside current structures and parameters. Detach, turn energies elsewhere, build something new. What we have now is irretrievably effed up. Revolution, not revision.

POC have done this forever, when churches and family ties were all the succor available. The Black Panther Party's "survival programs", provided food, clothing, education, and other services to communities. It's one model to emulate if 3/4 of society is disenfranchised by techbros.
