Growing up my family’s cat would ask to go out the front door. If it was raining he would refuse and ask to be let out the back door. Ofc it was also raining there but I respect that he tried!

I had a dog who was VERY intelligent, knew that I controlled the fall of certain water (e.g., from hoses and showers) and had clearly arrived at the conclusion that it was my fault when it rained outside too. Reacted to rain EXACTLY as if I'd squirted him with a hose (which tbf I was known to do).
