You are dramatically underestimating the stakes of this for Trans people. I don't think I would survive a Newsom presidency any better than a Trump one. I don't care about teaching anyone a lesson. If you need my help, you need to help me survive.

I don’t think a lot of these types of folk *care*. He’s decided it’s cool if trans folk die as long as he gets to be safe. A lot of liberals have decided to start sacrificing marginalized people, esp trans folk, because they don’t think Niemöller’s poem could apply to *them*

Typing that whole thread about "unity" in service of sacrificing 2.8 million people to appease some imaginary voters who look at what Trump is doing and say "well, this is bad, but we cant allow trans people to have rights" is insane.
