I have done this. Several families that wanted to return to Michoacan were able to do so with some financial help from me and some of my family. I worked with them for decades and now they have to leave. Well, shit!

I live in Bogotá at the moment. I was relocated there for work. After this maybe I’ll go to the Philippines. Not interested in living in the U.S. again.

Understandable. I have a friend with young children and even so, he and his family are considering moving to Costa Rica. Colombia is inexpensive if you earn/have USD, but you must learn at least basic Spanish.
