Sure but, again, celebs are incredibly curated with their presence, ESPECIALLY her, with all her easter eggs & whatnot. If Taylor didn't approve/want it out there she had/has the power to make sure it didn't get out, so she at least didn't mind the potential for people to assume she's cool with them
You're not going to go to your partners' coworkers or boss and tell them they're pieces of shit because their votes hurt people. It doesn't benefit her to do that in any way. She can smile and treat people the way she'd like to be treated and go on with her life. She has fuck you money.
Sure but A) they aren't his coworkers or bosses, B) I definitely don't take group pics with just me, my partner, & 2 people I don't like, & C) if I did (& especially if I had her resources), I'd make sure it didn't get out if I thought people might get the wrong impression & wasn't ok with that
It's quite possible she doesn't even know who they are. That was basically a work event for Travis. You don't take pictures with random people because you aren't a celebrity. She does it all the time. How is she supposed to know the personal ideology of every single person she meets?
She's gotten plenty of backlash from it though, so if she didn't know before she's been made aware, & she could've easily said "my bad, I didn't know them" but she hasn't. I know she doesn't usually respond to stuff but if she cared about it impacting her image it'd take 2 seconds to say something
I feel like I'm coming off as if I blindly defend every choice Taylor has ever made, which I do not. Girlie is a capitalist billionaire. But I just think there's so much more nuance to this all. I don't know who these people in the picture even are.
I don't know how her coming out to say anything helps change anyone's mind. She's not MAGA - she's made that clear multiple times. Would it be nice if she said more? Sure, but she's a very polarizing person so I'm not sure it's gonna actually move the needle for anybody.
If anyone has the platform to do good though it's her. It's just hypocritical to say in the americana doc that she wants to do more activism stuff but still stay silent on most issues. She can afford to lose every single one of her fans & still be set for life but she won't take the risk to speak up
Like if she hadn't said that, cool. If she just wanted to stay out of everything, whatever. But saying she wants to be more politically active and then not really following that up with action (besides an endorsement during elections) rubs me the wrong way
She did at the time but maybe like a lot of people she's burnt out on the stupid choices Americans keep making (I certainly am). She owes no one anything and doesn't need to be a spokesperson; and especially doesn't need to be speaking about people in the NFL which isn't her arena.
