And they're not getting millions in dark money to offset that 10k like repubs do in these situations. The question isn't how much money, it's whether they can accomplish anything in the process by sticking it out. An appeal is likely to either void the original ruling or find the fine excessive.

The difference is, these folks aren't sockpuppets for oligarchs like the Republicans, so they can't just tank $10k/day fines. It might be worth it, or it might not. That depends on the outlook for appeals.
I've lit watched reps refuse to swear in a dem leader and nothing was done.
They're talking about five figure fines and *ARREST* for not voting the way the rethuglicans want them to? I think the whole lot of them are a little hazy on the whole concept of *voting*.
