Once people are on Linux, they will look around and find a DE that suits them. We’re talking about getting people in the door, not stay on Mint forever.

yeah i’m really thinking a lot about the pre-install experience and getting things up and running. I think the idea of distro hopping and installing different DEs will appeal to some people and send a lot of other people running back to microsoft. That first hour is so important to get right.
