I was a storyboard artist at Nelvana from April 1999 until April 2024 and it is a heartbreaking moment. The Writers strike, COVID, and the collapse of OTA TV vs streaming has changed the landscape of animation. I am on the hunt for a new project this very moment.

Reinstall Fedora? It happens. While you wait though, boot Pop!_OS alpha COSMIC DE 24.04 from USB. I asked System76 and they made it sound like it’s almost finished the alpha stage. I also like Manjaro.

Totally unrelated, BUT: I just finished Damned and I am reporting it was very good. I'm glad there was a happy ending, but you still left it open-ended enough that you can return to this series if you choose to. Thank you Ms Cogman :)

Once people are on Linux, they will look around and find a DE that suits them. We’re talking about getting people in the door, not stay on Mint forever.
docthunder09.bsky.social (@docthunder09.bsky.social) reply parent
I would suggest elementaryOS or new Cosmic DE from System76 to Mac people. KDE desktops are too easily to mess up. A lot of people just want to turn the PC on and not mess with the look. My opinion is that Mint looks like Windows 7 & 10, but it’s cool you prefer KDE 🙂 I like KDENeon

Don’t water it down then. Acrylic paper is opaque by default 🙂
docthunder09.bsky.social (@docthunder09.bsky.social) reply parent
Linux mint resembles windows 7 out of the box. Windows people know nothing about DE environments. What looks the most familiar is the beginners winner 🙂
docthunder09.bsky.social (@docthunder09.bsky.social) reply parent
What whiteout are you currently using? I would suggest watered down acrylic paint, but gouache can also work. The benefit of acrylic is it’s not water soluable once it dries, unlike gouache.
