I'll give it a look. I've used @proton.me before for email and back then their Drive was new and not great. It's worth looking at again.

Along those lines mailbox.org is also worth a look. Still somewhat privacy minded, but less security focus and leans more heavily into standards (e.g. WebDav stuff).

Personally though I self-host nextcloud for my wife and I. FYI: collabora gives you the "google docs" piece... though in practice my wife and I use local apps and file sync for text, docs, and spreadsheets.
