We all own cars. Blaming people for the world they were born into is a chickenshit way to lose a debate. Are you sure you want to go there?
We all own cars. Blaming people for the world they were born into is a chickenshit way to lose a debate. Are you sure you want to go there?
Are you saying that owning cars is the same as owning slaves
I'm saying that the evils into which we are born is not our fault. Our fault lies in not trying to correct them. Self-evident truths are the keys to freeing all mankind, even if they don't have a uterus. Not realizing that, is the problem with today's society.
Answer the question
I did. Have someone you trust explain it to you.
No, you didn't. You squirmed around it because you were afraid to stand by what you said. Which is smart, because what you said was real dumb.
Like I said. Have someone you trust explain it to you.
Or you could find the courage to answer the question
Have someone you trust explain it to you. I debate all day long at my own expense. But, I do not tutor for free. If you want learning, dm me your cc#.
You haven't engaged in any debate, though. You haven't even been able to answer a single straightforward question. Now, I'm of the opinion that it's because you're a bad faith coward - but I'm sure you could prove to me that you're very stupid. If you tried.
The level of discourse here should have prevented you from publishing this response. But, you do you. Maybe a new hobby?
How does the Fugitive Slave Clause, the Slave Trade Clause and the Three-Fifths Clause correct slavery?
Are they still the law of the land?
Do you not understand the question or are you ignoring the question?
The lack of understanding here will be left for history to judge, until the internet goes dark.
You're the one that can't even finish Article I of the Constitution. The original is a whole four pages, and you can't manage it.
Your assumptions will lead you to terrible epiphanies. You should disabuse yourself of such repulsive tendencies.
You literally assumed away three clauses in the Constitution that literally made it unconstitutional and impossible to end slavery without a civil war.
The cost of becoming a nation with slave states, in order not to be hanged as traitors to a tyrant. I assumed nothing, other than the fact that they knew they would be invaded by doing so.
do you know what "owning slaves" actually looked like? it looked like hiring guys to beat your slaves it looked like selling babies to each other it looked like 20% of your slaves died of tuberculosis & typhus this year so you went and got some fresh ones from the slave boat it looked like rape
Do I deny any of that? No. Does it even compare with the manmade extinction of everything except the tardigrades? No. Get some perspective. Just because we have suffered slavery, and know it's evils, should not require we suffer extinction first to know it too, does it?
you will not defeat the fascists by hero-worshipping our founders, because our founders were a bunch of genocidal slavers who created an "empire of liberty" mostly so they could cash in on their investments in stolen land
Worship is a strong word. I do not blame them for being born into the world at the time they were. Nor living as comfortably as they could, as we all do now. I'm glad they came along, & did what they did. If we have not lived up to the fullest of the promise of 'and justice for all', that's us.
you don't know anything about anything
Of course. We all live in a state of ignorance. 'I am not ashamed to admit what I do not know.' --Cicero, Roman Statesman & Lawyer
you realize there is a difference between owning a machine and owning a thinking feeling human person, right? regardless of legality? a machine does not feel pain. a machine does not have emotions. a machine does not have desires and aspirations
even if slavery was still legal or even expected, i still would not have one because subjugating a person is pretty obviously a fucked up thing to do if you have even a shred of empathy
there were plenty of people who rejected slavery as a moral abomination and slave owners (like many of the founding fathers) ignored it. they were moral relativists on a subject which really is not open to debate: slavery's wrong. and american chattel slavery was especially vicious and awful.
You mean, the way humans today look at animals? Color my epiphany with light! Or, are you purposely trying to misread the point?
i do not know how to explain to you that there is ZERO moral calculus to be done about chattel slavery. its not that hard to see that slave owners are bad people, regardless of what they wrote down on some paper.
yes! we do, as a species, treat animals poorly! and thats bad! i dont like it! but im pretty sure if cows could look at a farmer and tell him about how it is suffering, most people wouldnt want to own cows anymore!
I do not know how to explain it better. I am not endorsing slavery. I am not endorsing racism. I am not saying the framers of our Republic were perfect. I AM SAYING that they gave us the keys needed to needed to fix the shit. And for that, I do not blame them for the world they were born into.
i thought this was about racists being americans. and america was founded on chattel slavery. if anything, slave-owners were exactly who the founding fathers thought of as "american", and sure, weve made a lot of progress since, but racism is still a dominant force in america
are
Are you fucking your car?
Just my couch... 🙄
you are not a smart person. log off and go outside for a jog.
i muted this guy. honestly cannot imagine arguing with someone this fucking dumb.
Someone screen capped this and sent it to me. I figured no one could be this dumb, but here I am and it’s real.
the fuckin internet, man.
You got that right.
'Shallow' doesn't even begin to describe this level of intellect. Slavery divided the races. Yes, of course. Cars, are killing the fucking planet. Go pretend to be moral somewhere else.
I simply think you’re an idiot. Which is not a moral statement, it’s more of a statement of fact.
The 'fact' that you don't know the difference between an opinion and a fact, should have been information you keep private.
For someone who has no idea what they’re talking about you are very confident. Forbes had car ownership in America for last year at 92% of households. Slave ownership at its height was only about 25% of households. They are not analogous. You won’t know what you’re talking about.
They are both ISSUES that need(ed) to be dealt with. Are ya with me so far, Sparky? One, made a bloody mess of society. The other, will kill all the known life in the universe. Are we having any problems with this? Are the children in school now at fault for ANY of it? Hello?
The lack of perception, and scope, is breathtaking.
Hahaha holy shit what a bad argument
Only if you consider the extinction of everything except tardigrades 'no big deal', Johnny.
Lmao what?!
Take your confusion as a sign. You are not tall enough for this amusement.
Hahaha holy fuck you’re the biggest dork I’ve ever encountered
To wit.
Hahahahahahaha
Was there something else you needed clarified?
I never needed anything clarified lmao I called your argument stupid
Case in point. Your 'missive' was then turned to scrap by the truth. But, it's beyond your capability to yet understand. You are not tall enough for this amusement.
