This is the Storm Coast from Dragon Age: Inquisition
Wow amazing
Wow, that is so cool 😎
I just learned that it’s the Giant’s Causeway in Scotland the other end is in Ireland.
It is a really cool place to see!!!
I think it might be a scene from Harry Potter 's? So beautiful.
So you are telling us that this isn’t from Iceland :O
Mesmerizing
This is what I was telling you about, @chuckwendig.bsky.social . Such a nifty place to see.
A lot like Tasmania
Awesome
😮
Wow!
That’s what inspired Mendelssohn: open.spotify.com/track/6nJ9Ui... 🎶
this place has to be seen to be believed! It is absolutely gorgeous! Do you bring your meds if you get it all sea sick, though! The boat ride over to the island is something else😂
That’s cool!
Our beautiful earth
😎🫶🏻
This amazing natural wonder is what inspired the shape of Dave Simmons iconic 80s era electronic drums after he visited the Isle of Staffa…
Interesting, almost looks manmade, but I saw the same kind of formations when I hiked around Devil's Tower in Wyoming.
Stunning.

Incredible
📌 love this. Someday.. someday..
Northern end of Giant's Causeway!
That's the same rock as devils tower!
Beautiful 🤩
Nonsense, it was built by the dwarfs...
Scotland is a magical place. 🏴
Wow that's interesting
that's a lot more hexagonal basalt pillars than I expected
Wow beautiful 🤩 nature is amazing 😊💖
omg that's stunning. thank you for a well-needed timeline cleanse.
As a kayaker, I look at that and think, yeah I could get in and out of there.
😂 maybe at high tide on a super calm day. SUPER CALM
As a kayaker I'm sensible enough not to try.
what of wonderous to be for the first Scots to lay eyes on miracle of Earth & Sea
WOW!!
Looks like something straight out of a Tolkien book.
That’s so cool! There’s a very large area of these basalt columns (over 40,000 columns) along the Northern coast of Ireland. Located in county Antrim it’s called Giants Causeway.
The Storm Coast.
Way Cool!! 😎
This is real close to giants causeway which has the same pillars. Maybe 50-75 miles away in a completely different country. I’d assumed formed from the same volcanic activity.
That is so cool. Scotland is full of wonders.
Amazing
Truly incredible
That’s amazing! Thanks for posting
Amazing
Holy cow. My favorite game of all time (Expedition 33) has a zone called "Stone Wave Cliffs" with formations that were clearly inspired by this. I didn't dare to think such a thing existed in the real world!
Looks like an ancient ruin.
Wow!
Magical!
Been there. It's impressive, and if you get the chance it's worth the trip.
Wow
Wow!
If you look at a map, you can imagine how the same types of rock formations go under the Irish Sea to The Giant's Causeway. Been to both.
I was about to ask this question as was at Giants Causeway a couple of years back. Look identical
The beauty of a natural creation can not be matched. 🤩😍🤩
Agree
Wow!
I want to stand there for an hour or so and become one with the cave.
This is beautiful and the sound ✌️🤗👏
Wow, gorgeous!!
😍😍😍😍😍😍
Most interesting
Never seen this before. This is so cool. Thank you.🙏☺️
Supervised Wild Swimming on a perfect weather day …
So much basalt around there.
Sorry to break it to you ,but this is the storm coast and there are big spiders in there and a dragon fighting a giant down the way on the beach.
I'm really stunned by this. Mother Earth showing off her stuff. ❤️
So cool!
Amazing
Whoa.
The 'indoor' Giant's Causeway! Quite beautiful. 😍
Wasn’t this a scene in Lord of the Rings?
😲😲😲😲
Omg. Fantastic
So amazing. Loved it there. And so many puffins on the island.
Sometimes I wish every person could have a year to travel and see beautiful natural wonders, places we are otherwise unaware of, due to our entrenched lives, I think we would be enlightened and better for it.
Awe
Wild.
I’ll be there shortly🥰
That’s is so cool I want to see that!!
Stunning!
I thought that was the storm coast of Ferelden
OMG thats cool!
Reynisfjara Beach in Iceland looks just that. It's very cool to see!
I was waiting for the so many dumb ways to die music to start playing.
Absolutely amazing, thanks.
Oh that's gorgeous... (I feel like I've been there in Dragon Age Inquisition haha... maybe a source of inspiration for the game)
The Giants Causeway in Ireland has the same geographical features very cool to visit
More formations off the west coast of Ireland Valentia coast near Bray Head if I recall rightly
I visited Giants Causeway a few weeks ago (I LOVE IRELAND!)…and was thinking that this looks even more amazing! I hope to get there some day.
I was obsessed with this place as a 13 year old Minecraft kid
I love it. Beautiful sound. Thanks for posting this.
So nice!!!
Wow!!
Mother Nature is thee Queen of Fine Art.
Cool. Is this the other side of the giants Causeway? I saw the Irish side. It's neat to see the Scottish side.
I used to have a piece of that as a step up for my porch. Someone stole it one summer.
That was rotten of someone.
wow
Is this the Scots end of the pile that is off the Irish northern coast? I heard it stretches from Scotland to Ireland.
Took an inflatable dinghy with an outboard motor in there once, fun!
There's a horcrux in there
I was also convinced that this was the setting for that Harry/Dumbledore excursion.
I am pretty sure this is actually where they filmed the scene where they go to the cave. I think the inside is a generated thing but the scene with the sea crashing on the rocks was actually filmed at a real location, likely this one.
Indeed. Even the description in the book made me think of this place.
Beautiful
Wow
Diamonds may be a girl's best friend, but basalt is a Troll's best friend (and dinner)
That’s where Fionn knocked the shit out of the evil Scottish giant back in the day
There are no words to describe this beauty.
Wow!
Cool…
Whoooo 🙂
I feel the pull of my Heritage when I see that. My dream is to see Scotland someday ❤️ just beautiful 😍
You must! It's absolutely magical! The nature, scenery, architecture, food (Oban is the seafood capital of Scotland, & where some of my recent ancestors are from) and the people! I think Scottish folks are among the kindest in the world! (I say that as a Canadian) 😊🇨🇦💕🏴
I just told my husband yesterday I wish we could move to Canada or Scotland, lol.
Indeed, I'm still glad & grateful to be Canadian. 😊🇨🇦 There are many worse places to be. I think a big factor for me is how accessible Scotland is by transit. I can't drive, so I can't get to a lot of beautiful places. In Scotland I can go almost everywhere by train, bus, cab or walking 😊
Yes, I understand, we are farmers and live in a rural small town, we do not have any kind of public transportation.
That sounds wonderful, thank you I hope I'm lucky enough to get to see it before I leave this earth.
I spent a week in Oban at the beginning of the month. Highly recommended, including the seafood! And I agree about the Scots.
For sure! And gotta love the seafood huts on the docks! Amazing, fresh, and abundant! 😋. Also love Nories for fish & chips! 😋
Yummy 😋
Thank you, Luca, so much for posting this! 🩷🩷🩷
Yes, I see you were by the green hut close to the railway station! We bought mussels there the last evening and they were amazing. Nories is also very good. For 'posh' restaurants we tried Ee-usk, the Waterfront Fishouse Restaurant and the Olive Garden: all excellent, each with its own style.
Oh yes! We ate at the Fish House on our first visit, some years ago! I believe I had the Cole Fillet... 🤔😋 We do love both of the huts, and hit them on different days. Think we hit the green one more this year though. I think 90% of our Oban eats was seafood! 🤣
It was 100% for us, we just didn’t bother with anything else until our stay ended and we travelled on to Edinburgh.
Hehehe, my friend loves Binba Coffeehouse (I'm not a huge coffee person, but their hot chocolate & pastries are stellar!), and we had a couple of big breakfasts at Wetherspoons. Did you hit up the Oban Chocolate Factory? (We did do other stuff than just eat, I swear! 🤣)
Thank you all so much for the info. I didn't know that I had Scot in my heritage until we did our Ancestry. I knew I had Irish in my blood but not Scot I was so excited to find that out.
Is your profile photo actually you? Because if it is, you look very plausibly Scottish. “Auntie Morag in her younger days” kind of thing…
I found out while planning my first visit in 2017, that my great grandfather was from Oban. My Nana is a MacDougall, & Oban is the seat of the MacDougall Clan. Visited 🏴 3x so far, trying to see some new spots every time, but must have time in Oban! Feels like home. I'd love to live in Scotland.
We lived just along from the Chocolate Factory (in Esplanade Court) but never actually went there. Will have to do so next time, because we are certainly returning!
Oh yes, I know I'll visit Scotland, & Oban again! Definitely check out the Chocolate Factory! Wonderful cafe vibe to sit & relax, delicious drinks & amazing chocolates! You can buy prepackaged ones to take away, & even pick your own combos of their chocolates!
*Hinba Coffeehouse (stupid autocorrect)
Almost similar to Alcantara gorges in Sicily
Wow
OMG, that is absolutely stunning🤗!
Omg. Wow. I went as far as John O'Groats in Scotland. The thing I remember was the gigantic seaweed beds. They were enormous. It was so rugged. It was October,& the winds were fierce.Very dramatic like this. The fishing boats are able to slice through it all. Amazing seafolk. I live by the sea Respect
Oh wow.
Looks cool af
Looks beautiful 🤩!!! So serene!!!
Our basalt pillars in the Hunter Valley have been turned on their sides. #BatteryRock
Wow, how beautiful!
Mendelssohn was there.
Yessss!!!
😉
Into the lair beyond the dragons tooth within the basalt prison ye must venture.
Mother Nature, just when I thought I had seen her all. This is phenomenal! Thank you for sharing.
Stunning.. gorgeous..amazing..
This is gorgeous! Thank you so much!
WOW absolutely stunning
I want to go there. . .
📌
WOW!
An escape route for Tyrion Lannister after killing his miserable father.
Surreal. The earth is an amazing place.
The British Isles, imo, are the most magical place on earth.
Fascinating! looks like a place out of a scifi film.
Is that the cave where Tom Riddle left his horcrux? It is beautiful! The cave, the cave is beautiful! ❤️
😯😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
Fake news!! We know that aliens 👽 built those mind control pillars.., wake up sheeple 😂
Liberating 🔥🔥
Thank you for sharing, they are magnificent. Personally, I have only had the pleasure of seeing the columns in Yellowstone NP in Wyoming and those outside Fort Davis in Texas.
Makes me want to go there to experience it myself.
I've been here...Let me tell you (all), my fear of heights..nothing in comparison to my love of the climb. Absolutely stunning. ..and terrifying. No video will do it justice, but this is pretty close.
Amazing, thanks for posting this!
How cool is that? One of these days, I want to travel. So far, I’ve never left the country.
Someday I’ll get there.
I hope you do. It is amazing!
Beautiful! Thank you for sharing!
That video combined with the words "naturally formed" just broke my brain.
Legit where the Axe of The Dwarvish Lords is hidden.
Awesome
Wow - it looks like a Disney ride
That is so fascinating! 👍😲
📌
Can see how this would inspire the tales of Fomorians.
MUCH more beautiful than a golf course!!!
Wow. That is breathtaking.
What a wonderful piece of natural art!
that's so cool.
W O W….breathtakingly beautiful!! 😍
That is so cool
Coooooooollllll
That's pretty cool, Luca. Thanks for sharing this - I've never seen that before.
I'm pretty sure that's the next destiny raid
Basalt pillars are so cool. This cave is amazing
SPEAKING OF SCOTLAND, I WANT A SINGLE BILLIONAIRE MUSCULAR WHITE SCOTSMAN WITH A BUZZCUT TO FACEFUCK ME AND THEN COMPLIAN ABOUT THE AGE OF ROBOTS + AI BEFORE MARRYING ME, ANY QUESTIONS?

Right out of the misty mountains
Wow... stunning work of nature!
There is a similar formation in the center of Mexico: youtu.be/x-lT6W8_0ic?...
Its like natural lego
We have Devil's Postpile in CA.
Beautiful 😍
My kind of cathedral ❣️
Beautiful 💗💖
Thank you for your unwavering support towards Ukraine 🇺🇦 🙏
Where are you supporting from?
Mendelsohn's wonderfully evocative 'Fingal's Cave' overture was my introduction to classical music, aged 17. Aged 40, I spent a night in a tent on top of this islet. Not recommended in stormy weather!
Beautiful work! Luca
The watery hollow of the stone forest, teeming with ancient magicks, silent stories, and fierce danger.
Wow. No wonder Mendelssohn had to compose in its honour!
Gorgeous!
The kind of place that makes you believe in mermaids.
Wow!
Right out of The Lord of the Rings!
there are definitely dragons in tehre
Basalt pillars always reminds me of Giants Causeway in the UK.
Now I can understand where Scottish authors got their ideas for their fantastical literature! With this kind of inspiration, my imagination would run wild!
If I remember correctly the hexagonal formations occur when the basalt cools down very quickly (I guess due to the water). Unsure if that is correct, anyone knows better?
interesting, thanks!
Or, aliens.
Now I want to go back to Scotland!
Hey look, it's Morrowind
What amusement park is this lazy river a part of?
magical
Wow!
Could be a model for Saturn 🪐 and its hexagonal Northern Pole! ✌️✌️✌️
Wow, mesmerizing 🏴
Was there a few years ago, magical.
😳🫣👏👏👏
Scary somehow
I think this was a level in one of the recent Legend of Zelda games
Beautiful!
