My Chevy Volt is great. 50 electric miles is plenty for around town in the summer. But it's more like 23 in the dead of winter in the highway. My kids live about 100 miles away. I would need 400 miles to be about to make a round trip in the winter. 500 would feel safer, so that's my threshold.
