Rather than sliding into fatalistic hogwash about shabby dems being our only hope… **we can actually do better** We can lobby state houses HARD for RCV. Removing the cynicism from voting will *dramatically* transform our political discourse… and our candidates
RCV is better than first past the post. Proportional representation would be even better. But we cannot even convince state houses to legislate a semi-decent, non-gerrymandered FPTP. Any improvement will have to come via initiatives and referenda.
If you truly think we can’t, then shut up about it. Otherwise get out of your mom’s basement and get involved 💪🏻 Proportional representation might be better, but that’s way less likely. RCV may not be perfect but it has existing mindshare
