Yep. Far, far more interesting AND informative would be the net spend or profit comparison across the leagues. If the £3billion all stayed within PL - obviously it didn’t - then nobody really need worry about the figure at all.

To be fair, the article linked in the original post has all of the net spend figures in, it's just the headline which quotes the £3bn gross figure. Net spend is £1,267m (and is broken down by club) Also the big 5 leagues: England £1,212M Italy £68.5M Spain £39.5M Germany -£157.4M France -£290.5M
