Why do Congresspersons always describe "Congress" as if it's some inscrutable monolith and not LITERALLY them? Is it like how the President loves "America" but despises the citizens and laws of the US? Or how when politicians speak of "the people," they don't mean any actual persons?

The Dems won't do anything but voice concern and put out pablum such as this. Their sole goal is to maintain their Senate or House seat, and won't do anything to make themselves stand out or become a target of the right. No one will lead, especially the alleged leaders Schumer and Jeffries.

I think the democrats should stick with their current strategy of thinking very strongly about taking action, but getting steamrolled on every issue. That’s been working amazingly against this current administration.
