If we solve the first problem, and have power-sharing governments, we are less likely to hand power over to tech robber-barons in the first place. When their money puts their buddies in power we have to cut this off at the knees. Power shared among minor parties and Independents would help. #auspol

Seems likely. I was actually disappointed when Labor won in such a huge landslide. And I've been a Labor voter since I arrived in this country. I think many of the problems we have dealing with important issues arise out of the Major Party duopoly in this country.

Unquestionably so. Labor's win was a 'hell, no' overreaction to Dutton's RWNJ tactics. I think the swing towards a stronger crossbench with Climate 200-backed independents will come, but it might take several elections until #auspol learns its lessons.

I wish we had more actual progressive independents like David Pocock to choose from. The teals are a bit too LNP lite for my taste.

Still better than the duopoly. Zali Steggal and Monique Ryan have introduced several ethical private member's bills addressing the shortcomings of the duop, including transparency and truth. Pocock is my hero and I want to see more of his calibre swelling the crossbench.

Yeah. I agree. I was too hopeful at this election. "Hell no" worked to get rid of potato brain, but the backwash of 2nd preferences produced this mistake. And we have to live with it now. Smarter voting next time might result in something a little better
