obviously lighting some dark areas is good, but we've gone way overboard with it as a society!!! bright white lighting that makes night look like day is insane!!!

Were I in power, one way or another, there would be a lot more amber (and possibly red) lights around, so night vision could persist. Weapons grade headlights would be a thing of the past.

headlights are like the easy ice-cold take. but i also think general night lighting is way too bright. streetlights. LEDs and blinking lights on every device. i bought a headlamp from amazon and had to return it just because it was blindingly bright FOR ME.

I don't live in a place with a meaningful amount of street lighting (there are like four, along the highway), so I tend not to think about it much. I do recall a bit of excess back when I was in a city. Those could probably do with a bit of yellowing as well.
