Im not sure. If in 26 the gop again barely survives and alot of the bbb's shit hits and is bad as we think, then ANY dem wins. Think FDR's or even Obamas first wins. I dont think it would of mattered who the dem was. Obama just won by bigger numbers.

My opinion was sealed when he put covid restrictions on his state, but excluded himself and his donors so they could go to a fancy dinner. If you feel it is important to restrict your citizenship then you better be the poster child for strict adherence to your rules. A single mistake destroys it.
