I wish - should have when the guys were here building our firepit patio - woulda been simple but now seriously doubt it - I have a cool, dark, basement equipment room w/ lots of shelves, so that'll will be longer term storage. For the fall it all goes on some shelves in my garage, away from windows.

plus, the local older-than-me-timers already HAVE root cellars around here... 😁

My MIL used to store potatoes or onions she grew or bought from a friend in their basement. Her trick for some was to use a pantyhose leg, with knots to separate the taters and hang them from the ceiling.🤔

Bumpy legs hanging down from the ceiling in a cool, dark cellar. Not scary at all!

I bought about 100 mesh bags for storing these veggies. And yes, I will likely hang them from the ceiling 😉😎
