He's not real informed about the nature of shelters either, which are absolutely not the same as or as safe as housing

Somebody who willingly chooses that facial hair like it's drawn on with a sharpie is probably generally ignorant of life at the edges. I've lost a whole family of friends to moderate poverty due to lack of health care. Our social safety net is mostly holes.
