maybe it seems weird that I'm going on so long about this girl, but imo if you talk to a teacher who's been at it for a bit and can't immediately rattle off a list of students that they just adore and admire and could gush about endlessly, I'd . . . find that extremely questionable tbh
lots of things SUCK about education as a career and especially now (the eternal caveat that I'm in a great spot and am extraordinarily lucky, yadda yadda) but man, I've known some teachers that just . . . don't seem to like kids? like, at all? like what are you even doing here, man?
Dude the kids are the only thing keeping me there (and the good coworkers).
