I would like to know who is on that list of good young guys who "will be available" because I don't see many. At best, I see a stop gap until Hage might be ready... and I'd hate to sell the farm for that solution. But we all see things differently, and that's good. #Habs
Just so much dreaming. The right solution will present itself. We have training camp, preseason and 25 regular season games. We could have an answer to the 2C question at any point in that time. No panic.
I should have say May be available. But there are a number of teams with too many centres at the moment (Anaheim and Seattle in particular) who could stand to move a 2C-type for help elsewhere. They have both young and stop-gap types, but the Habs would likely prefer the "young" option.
Same here, I don’t know of any “available” young guys…. I wish Monahan was still around, perfect guy for the role until Hage is ready to take on those responsibilities.
Indeed I am as unsure as to who is actually available, at a non-ransom price, as I am sure that we need to add a real C. Imagine if we had let Evans walk? We’d only have 1 established C, Suzuki. Hopefully they already have a deal in place which they can execute after Sep1.
