No, as in Cancer the Crab, the zodiac sign. The Ancient Greek word 'karkínos' means both 'cancer' and 'crab'. The disease was apparently named after the animal, though no one knows why; and the mythological creature that is the origin of the constellation was apparently a big crab named 'Crab.'

Oh, I knew that crabs were associated with cancer, and that the name of the zodiac sign was not a coincidence, but I didn't know until looking it up just now to confirm I was saying the right thing that they were literally the same word and not just a homophone or mythological connection.

Oh, no, the initial joke was just that an LLM would associate 'cancer' with 'crab' because of the zodiac sign and therefore say that 'cancer' had 3 'c's. But I remembered hearing there was a deeper association, so I looked it up before explaining the joke to you, and that's when I got the rest.

Sorry, should've said "looking it up just then" instead of "looking it up just now".
