Just completed Alone In The Dark 2024. I think I prefer it to the new Resident Evil stuff. Only one bit with a very easily avoidable shit stalker enemy.

I kind of appreciate how the stalker enemy is very easily avoidable, and leaves you to your own devices unless you actively want to run into it

I think the house stuff, the puzzles and the way the game unlocks from that central hub is the good shit. Stick a few roaming zombies in them hallways and you'd have a better Resi than most recent ones.

The structure is similar, mooch around a mansion, solve puzzles, open doors to parallel worlds etc. Not as grim as Eternal Darkness, but the fact it gave me the feeling...

The ending was wild too. No real gore to speak of for 99 percent of the game amd then... 'oh, that lad got pulled in half'. Good puzzles too, make you feel like a clever clogs.
