Huge crowds. Huge. Only fake news says otherwise.
Huge crowds. Huge. Only fake news says otherwise.
I have genuinely been to village fetes on wet Welsh days with bigger turnout than this.
🤣🤣🤣🤣
"Hey, where is everybody?" m.youtube.com/watch?v=MaMR...

#NoKings ftw
Had sound on, the "singer" should be used for real riot control. Video should come with warning for potential bleeding ears. Heard better karaoke after 10 pints. Sounds like a goose farting in the fog.
So that's a deffo share then 👍👍👍
Seen more people @ a Jerry cinnamon concert
That can't be correct. They said 250000 were there. I saw pictures of a large crowd from the Whitehouse government publicity department. Wait, you don't think the Whitehouse might be lying do you. Nah, they wouldn't do that. Would they?.
Wish Warriors Poundshop paratroopers. Mildish Marines. Temu Tanks. Shuffling soldiery. And raining on the parade.
See while you pee.
The embarrassment of it all. He will have to put some spin on this.
I can hardly wait. This ought to be good.
Some of his own family didn't even turn up. It was a wash out in every sense.
BBC News this morning reported the “Huge military parade” in Washington DC, then absolutely zero on the millions peacefully protesting across the US. I give up with them.
I dunno which show you had on and not denying what you saw/heard but rest assured the first time it's mentioned on their homepage it's this headline. BBC News - Mass protests against Trump across US as president holds military parade www.bbc.com/news/article...
Only now?
I had BBC breakfast on and they did talk about the “huge” military parade, but then they immediately talked about the thousands of anti Trump protests across the US.
Fair enough. It wasn’t mentioned on the bulletin just before Laura K was on. I switched to Sky news after that.
Same with the coverage on Radio 4 since first thing this morning.
I didn't hear that, but have always felt that the BBC are anti-Trump though still report all his stuff as national broadcasters have to. Too much nuance & back-stories are left out of the bulletins though. Some of the news podcasts are good to get context & more info.
Online they say "Mass protests against Trump across US as president holds military parade" Front page below the Iran.
I also prefer the World Service news coverage on radio which tends to have more detail and analysis.
The headline on BBC web site is Mass protest as Trump holds military parade. Stop falling for the media is a villain line fed to you by those that don’t want you to know the truth.
Idk I don't watch BBC🤷♀️
Even Basingstoke’s had bigger crowds.
King Charles puts on a better parade then King Donald.
I've seen bigger crowds trying to get into Wetherspoons.
Biggest crowds ever!
Crowd so poor that even guys-with-bags-stopping-tanks decided not to attend...
Yuge. That crowd is clearly more bigly than those stupid protests, they were full of bad people. /s
The biggliest crowd, period. Everyone says so!
As the Vietnam era uniforms marched by, they played the song “Fortunate Son” over the sound system. It’s become a staple of Vietnam war movie soundtracks. It is about the “fortunate sons” whose parents paid or used power to keep their kids from being drafted. youtu.be/N7qkQewyubs
US military puts on many elaborate and large displays at sporting events around the US virtually every weekend. They are very slick and practiced. I keep hearing vets and active service people saying the shoddy displays and marching were a protest.
Happy birthday to the beloved leader Dim Don Um
I’ve seen bigger crowds at Barnes Fair.
Not so much a march as a casual amble.
Looks like pride if run by old straight white guys (the homophobic sort) #notallstraightoldwhiteguys!
Tbf it’s turned out to be a lot more entertaining than I’d expected.
He’s got the whole crowd in his hands He’s got the whole big crowd in his hands He’s got the whole crowd in his tiny hands
So, not a big, beautiful parade then? 🤣
I've yet to see aerial shots - normally broadcast to show the throngs and breath of support. If they exist I'm sure BSers would have been delighted to share. Did the broadcasters only show ground level shots even during the live broadcast? Were they 'frit, cowed or too loyal?
Great news … nobody fainted !
That’s YUGE.
Curious how they’re going to try to spin this. Blame the weather? Maybe say that people felt unsafe because of the threat of violence from the unpatriotic? Or some other bullshit?
You got the punctuation wrong.
not exactly a throng is it
After five months of this shit, that's very encouraging.
This is pathetic… so embarassing. He was always the one nobody wanted to attend his birthday party - no matter how much daddy paid… the same here.
I know this is not the same as election rallies, but I remember people getting pumped over Harris crowds and mocking Trump then, too. So: 1. Today was very important for America. but 2. I am not convinced it represents a real change in support for Trump. And that is before we think about MN...
Bigly! What I also like is that spellchecker wanted Bigot
To be fair, all I saw yesterday was throngs of enthusiastic fans having the time of their lives - cheering, singing and erupting in rapturous applause every few minutes. Then again, I was at a Stereophonics gig in Huddersfield, and I didn't see anything on the parade until this morning.
Maybe if the soldiers had been able to march instead of plodding along more would have turned up. Most of the soldiers looked totally undisciplined and uninterested.
I dont think people would have known that in advance, though. I agree some of the soldiers looked like their hearts weren't it, and I don't blame them.
About the same size as a village fete. For shame(!)
You have to wonder, if that’s all the support he has, how did he win the election… 🤔
That's like a 6PM crowd at your local town fare in the UK waiting to see the headliner who had one hit in 1998.
They all came in fancy dress as blades of grass. Isn't it obvious ?
Fighter jets didn’t turn up because it was cloudy. Any excuse.
That's right. Attack the US when it's cloudy. No defense.🤪😜🤪
Nice try James!
Field of Dreams never looked so desperate Build fascism and thankfully they won’t come
It will go down in the official White House archives as the Great Washington Thunderstorm Perade (no one has ever seen storms like this before). The only thing wetter than the skies were the tears of joy streaming down the cheeks of the million brave patriots in attendance.
…even a Ronald MacDonald event sees more people than this!

This thread on the protest signs is well worth a few minutes! bsky.app/profile/patr...
Huge crowds, the best crowds.
Wonder how the orange man baby will spin this.🤣🤣 #LoveToSeeIt
When tanks are reduced to representing satire, the unhinged one is exposed.
Is that Oddball?
The squeaking tank heard over the crowd is the whimper of freedom.
It's got real Pinter or Beckett vibes - people wandering disconsolately past gurning people on the stage desperately trying to gin up the crowd.
Wow, the stampede looks so dangerous.
According to the Washington Post there were "cheering crowds". I think their reporter took the wrong turning and ended up in a local No Kings protest march. Either that or he spent the afternoon in a local bar with that Fox News lady.
Yuge. Simply yuge.
That's like 7th on the bill in the Folk Tent kind of numbers
The Cleckuddersfax Country Fair on a wet and windy Tuesday has more attendees!
It rarely rains your side of the hills because the rain is dumped on t’other side, so either you’ve got confused with the Clitherburnson county one or you’ve been unlucky 😂😂
Aye, it’s like the Sahara on the best side of the Pennines (in fairness, it hasn’t rained much in the last three months!)
I thought the initial video is saw was from a parody site like the Onion. Even funnier knowing it wasn't
😄 absolute vacuous shite
Hilarious. Period.
I wonder if any Republican representatives watched the contrasting visions in America today and thought… yeh, i’m in the wrong party and on the wrong side of history.. Did anyone grow a spine today or is it just sycophantic business as usual..?
Trump was hoping for perfectly Goose-stepping Marines in dress uniform doing the whole "Eyes Right" thing, instead he got a Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade with a massive budget and real tanks rather than inflatable ones.
Looked at Fox News for the first time in my life. “Hundreds of 1000s turn out to celebrate…”. And I can’t see anything about the #nokings protest. News channel???
A clown show needs a few clowns
This is brilliant! Listen with sound!! x.com/bricktop_naf...
Nobody is interested in the orange turd. He’s insignificant.
So sad.
What kind of godawful music is this?
I've seen bigger crowds queuing for the Speak your weight machine.
BBC News just now was a joke Almost gushing coverage No mention of the No Kings protests No mention of Trumps dismal crowds The BBC News and Politics teams are not impartial
Did they postpone it or has he just lost so much support recently that light rain deters the maga morons from gathering like "The Birds" to squawk their orange masters surname.
A not terribly well attended village fete.
Fox News says 1000s, that's the amount of people watching the Austrian recruits make their pledge of allegiance, in the countryside.
I think there were more people at Buckingham Palace for changing of the guard on a random weekday the last time I happened to be passing.....
Didn't they play CCR, Fortunate Son as well? The well known anti war song. They are so stupid they cannot tell a carrot from a sack of cement. Check the lyrics.....
Squeaky Tanks and Slovenly Marching..
I still haven’t accepted it as total fact, but I am seeing more and more claims by vets and active service members that the slovenly marching was an act of defiance. Every branch of the armed services in the US has its own department that does nothing but organize displays. They classify it as part
Of their recruitment costs, personally it makes me very uncomfortable, but at just about every major league sports game there are military displays. Marching bands, drill teams, flyovers, parachute teams, you name it, they’ve got it. It all got very serious around the time of the invasion of Iraq.
But pretty quickly sports leagues realized that instead of spending tens or hundreds of thousands of dollars on opening or halftime shows, they could just invite the military and they’d do it all for free. Every weekend dozens of these events happen. In addition to the display teams, every branch of
The US military has some version of a “Hollywood” office. They “liaise” with movie makers etc. and they “work together” with productions in a number of ways. Mostly determining how your movie goes - and what your movie gets. They will change story lines, change or remove characters and dialogue. In
Return they will provide you with whatever you want. If you make a movie that is positive about the military “Top Gun” or whatever, they will provide you with as many pilots and planes as you want. They’ll even provide personal to work as extras at no cost. Make a movie they don’t approve and they
Will prevent you from even buying army surplus. The US military are quite capable of putting on displays that are pretty much second to none. Which is why I give some credence to the claim that members of the armed services will not parade for a draft dodger. Some units made no attempt to march at all
There was a bigger turn out at my local summer fair yesterday 🤣
This is the outcome when inept heads of state are allowed to use social media to make official major announcements. bsky.app/profile/stev...
$40 million well spent.
yuge
Organisers of the village fete said the cancellation of the Dahlia competition was responsible for the poor turnout
The man is about as popular as a fart in a spacesuit.
Crowd dodging for the draft dodger
The Emperor's New... Parade.
Just a thought…“It’s good to be King.” (Mel Brooks, playing Louis XVI, History of the World, Part I)… Shame on each and every single of the 70 million clueless Americans, who voted for this extreme selfish delusional headbanger.
“Next up will be Fred, to guide you through the egg and spoon race…”
Says the BBC website of the parade: “The numbers at Saturday's event was well below that, partly due to wet conditions and the forecast of heavy rain.” Blimey, that was a quick bit of research! Thanks BBC!
They even had an ad on craigslist looking for seatfillers. So at least some people there are paid to be there
Melania answered the ad
Trump won’t care, it’s all about the military bending the knee to him and getting what he wants “I want a parade” so he gets a parade.
The band should have played Yakkety Sax! 🤣 youtu.be/Ot8z_5iRRbQ?...
Remember when they counted each nostril swipe as a covid test. I'm sure the "official" Trumpy counters are doing something similar.
I’m not a fan of the UK’s Trooping of the Colour, for the King’s (2nd) Birthday - but I have to say it knocked Trump’s big bash into a cocked hat.
Tripping the Colour is as much about the regiment as it is about the king/queen. Far less of a vanity project.
It’s an oddly understated event despite being wildly ostentatious. I think it shows the military & the head of state off with far more dignity.
My Dad attended (as a spectator) as someone in his group was playing the big silver drums on a horse. That was in the 50s. National Service - he’s still talking about it.
As many as that went?
These people can drill in their sleep. It took weeks of training to show such casual disregard... Enjoy... www.facebook.com/share/r/1GTT...
