funny story… i had undiagnosed clinical depression for decades. i felt i didn’t deserve the love and affection of my partner and that made an extramarital relationship impossible. i hide everything behind a wall of comedy and good deeds.

That's good you finally got a diagnosis, and hopefully therapy to help cope with it. Also good with doing those deeds. Helping others can have a good effect on our own mental health. 🙂
