I lost my eyeglasses and can't see well enough to find my eyeglasses! Does this happen to anyone else?
I lost my eyeglasses and can't see well enough to find my eyeglasses! Does this happen to anyone else?
I have to put my glasses in the exact same place every night or my morning will be spent carefully feeling everything to find them...it sucks π
I panic, a feeling that is rare for me. I really should know better. π€
Oh yeah. All the one. First place to look is on top of your head!!
That happened a couple weeks ago. Switching between regular glasses and sunglasses. I also had a headband on.π
All the time, which is why I have two pairs! I use the second pair to find the first pair. π
I looked for my reading glasses for half an hour the other day. Yes, they were on my face. π€£
You'll never know because you can't see my response.
π€£ I can see things up close! LOL! Getting a chain today!

I have daughters help me look for them.
It's bad if you don't have another human around to help search!
Yes. Thatβs why I obsessively put my glasses in the same place every time I take them off. Itβs not paranoid if life is actually trying to get you.
I need to be more disciplined with them, I used to be very good about them. I just gotta buy a few more to have on hand and get a chain. It's not like they are reading glasses, they're on my face all day. π
I once lost my glasses. While I was wearing them.
I've tried to place my prescription sunglasses on top of my prescription glasses before. What is happening????LOL!
Brain is losing its warranty. My glasses turn dark in sunlight, which is a godsend because Iβve broken so many shades.
I'm going to blame external forces and stay in denial. (It's not me!) LOL! I've had the changing lenses, too. I don't know what it is but optometrists hate my prescription. They keep telling me my options are limited.
Oh heck, I'm in denial about nearly everything going on with my body lately. I've got things sloughing off and fizzling out and I'm so not okay with it. I want that body that could eat a box of ho hos and fall off horses without being hurt.
I KNOW what you mean!π
This is why i got married π
(Not really but it is a big benefit)
π€£
have you checked your head? that is where mine usually are
I did that recently! LOL! Prescription sunglasses and glasses. I need a pair for every room, the car, the totebag, extra pair to give to friend in emergency. Pathetic.
For my husband and myself , itβs reading glassesβ¦I just gave up and bought a box full from Amazon and put a pair (or two) in every room..lol meanwhile, our prescription glasses are in a drawer somewhere, I thinkβ¦lol
Thst's the thing to do! I had my sunglasses but it was far too dark to see! I will get another pair or two of prescription glasses. I'm wearing back up glasses now. Happening too frequently lately. π
welcome to old age! glad you got here
I've worn glasses forever, only in recent months I started to lose them. It actually makes me panic, unusual for me. I'm getting a chain this weekend, I'll need to get a few cheap back-ups. LOL!
Rotten luck! Cant say that happened to me. Good luck finding them π
I just got a backup pair for that very reason.
I'm wearing my backup pair now due to a broken bridge on the other pair. I will get another pair or two. I will get a chain this weekend, that should help. Or maybe I should just use string? π I really should know better.
I'd say just accept this fact of life - you will lose your glasses.
But the frequency has increased! I went through many eyeglasses as a kid. I ran over a pair with my sled one winter! π Sat on them, stepped on them after they fell off my face. Memories, you know!
Oh yes.
Yes! I also have a bad habit of just putting things down and forgetting about them. Even when Iβm trying my hardest not to. Fortunately, I take my them off so rarely that thereβs usually only a handful of places I need to check. But if, like you, they end up somewhere unexpected, Iβm toast.
Thanks for a Saturday chuckle. And, yes.
Just about every day!
I keep all my old eyeglasses in cases in a drawer just in case new glasses are misplaced/broken. The old prescriptions are close enough usually to help with what is needed.
I do the same but am wearing the backup glasses now. Need a couple more to have on hand. I really can't see very well without them and squinting only goes so far. I am getting a chain for them this weekend.π
Seems to be a common problem! π
Yea, I lose them and later find them on my head. This happens a lot since weed became legal here.
Same.
π
I always have to find my wifeβs ππ€£ππ€£ Blind as a bat!
It's a tedious task, that's for sure. Extra gold stars for you!βοΈβοΈβοΈ
I keep an old pair of glasses in my drawer to help me find my "real" glasses.
I'm wearing my backup glasses now. Need to get a couple pairs for emergencies. I have prescription sunglasses but when it's getting dark they don't help. I wish I had better eyesight.
Kinda, but more often it's a matter of putting my glasses down someplace I normally wouldn't and then forget until I need them to watch a movie. Of course, it doesn't help that I prefer either completely rimless or thin wire frames.
Yours would be invisible to me! LOL! I found them, was outside, knocked into plants. I really can't see without them! Getting a chain, happening too often. LOL!
I favor them because that style frame fits better under a motorcycle helmet.
That makes sense. I really want thin wire/invisible support frames. My lenses are too thick for wire frames they tell me. I bought one pair from Warby Parker and, no kidding, they called me repeatedly and sent emails, like 15 communications. My eyes are bad but certainly not the worst case ever.
All the time, especially in the morning
Found them! Outside, getting darker, the cat or myself knocked them into the bed with the mints, everything is wet due to rain. I'm getting a chain. I'm terribly nearsighted. LOL!
Only every day when I take them off to wash my face/shower. Can they come with a built-in beep and app?
It happens with contact lenses, too. Thatβs a lot of funβ¦
Yes
It happens to me! I had to change where I put my glasses at night because the cats would knock them off my nightstand. Got really tired of having to search for them every morning!
Sometimes I lose them and one of the felines is sitting on them. I suspect it's intentional, payback for whatever long held grievance is roaming around in their kitty brain. Or, they're just keeping them warm for me.
They sure know how to hit where it hurts!
