How much shittier do you want? In the United States it is legal and common to feed chicken litter to cattle. Poultry litter consists of the manure, bedding and any other shedding found on the barn floor.

Mad cow disease also called Wasting Disease. Also seeing this in wild deer. It’s a prion disease. Can transfer to people.

It should be though. The reason it's not is because the US government has kept it quiet. One us independent beef producer wanted to test ALL his beef for CJD (mad cow) and label it as tested. The FDA ruled that he couldn't, it would be an unfair trade practice since virtually nobody else tests.
