So, is Liz Cheney a progressive, or are there simply more than just progressives in "our coalition"? Because if it's the latter, you need to provide evidence for MattY being a progressive outside of the fact that he's "in our coalition".

I also think you should also take a good hard look at what Liz Cheney actually accomplished in the Coalition, and then ask yourself how much sense it makes to include the Liz Cheneys of the coalition at the discussion table.
Yglesias is in our coalition, use whatever descriptors you like for who currently belongs in group. Cheney was extremely useful in j6 hearings, was of dubious use during the campaign. You seem generally uncomfortable with the fluidity of these things.
I just think it's really weird how you've shifted to the goalposts from "MattY is on the rightward fringe of progressivism", to "MattY is in our coalition and so is Cheney, and trying to dig any deeper than that is semantics." Like, if you don't think MattY is a progressive you can just say it lol.
I don't think Matt Yglesias is a progressive. It's weird that you're complaining about shifting goalposts when the goalposts in question are literally "left wing" and "right wing" bsky.app/profile/midn...
Are MattY and Liz Cheney left wing? Or does the broad anti-Trump coalition simply include some right-wingers?
Like, what does left wing even mean to you? Just left of neofascism?
You're the one who claimed he was on the fringe of progressive ideology, by the way. bsky.app/profile/chri...
It boils down to whether you think advances on Abortion/Climate/LGBTQA+/Labor are predicated on a functioning democracy.
You think Liz Cheney is for for all those things because she's pro-democracy?
