I didn't need to modify it. The bracket that came with the EAF worked. I did mount it so that the focus motor was toward the front of the scope. That gave me some more clearance to balance it. Here's a picture of the setup.

Thanks for the photo, I’ll have to give it a try on mine. I was dissuaded from trying based on a thread on CN. I love this scope for EAA, and I love what you’ve done with yours.

It's been my experience that asking for advice on CN tends to bring out the cynics. 😀
