I really really really hate the cold. And I hate snow more. My dream is to move to the Mediterranean once the kids don’t need me anymore and never experience it again.

I hear you. The good news for me here in Wisconsin is that we don't really get winter anymore 🙃

We had a cold enough winter here last year that it seems to have killed off, at least temporarily, many of the invasive marine species we’d been monitoring. Even the green crabs number are down!

Just kidding. About it's being "good news". I like winter. But these days winter is snow a little, melt and be muddy, snow a little. Rain a lot. Rinse, repeat.

I know what you mean. We did get some freak, break through days of warmth and while I felt a bit guilty about enjoying it because of what it meant, I still went to the beach and enjoyed it like a lizard soaking up the sun to power me through the rest of the darkness.
