In short: Brexit was a mistake But setting that aside, I'm sorry to hear what you're going through. Given that I live in a country, where homophobia is not only present but normalised, I can understand your wish to move out. Stay safe, and hope you feel better.

brexit absolutely was a mistake, and ever since I've been looking to moving where my partner lives, which is an eu country, and the headache that's been so far, I've made sure to rub every brexity fucker's nose in it.

The Nationalists cry about even the smallest of problems, whilst the economy is tanking hard and people lose their rights. Somehow I'm not going to be surprised if Poland or even my own country are more developed than the UK in 20 years if the trend continues.

I swear I read somewhere that the standard of living in poland will surpass that of the UK in the next 5 years, probably even sooner if the UK decides to go full stupid and exit the ECHR, which sadly is more probable than you'd like to think.

And yet the Nationalists always blamed other people for their problems instead of themselves. 20 years ago Farage spewed anti-Bulgarian and anti-Romanian rhetoric to stop us from joining the EU, and now they're doing the same to Black and Asian migrants from the former empire. It's pathetic.

it's crazy really, people here harp on about empire and such, but have 0 regard for the wellbeing of the former countries that made it up. unfortunately, compassion is not something that british nationalists have what so ever.
