I’m in New Orleans…I had 22 chrysalis around my milkweed area earlier this year. They all hatched successfully. The milkweed has recovered and has eggs on it. Hoping for another crop of butterflies before winter.

It is! I’m anxiously awarding blooms on the swamp milkweed I started from seed. Next year I’m gonna have so much milkweed!

I applaud your dedication, well done! I grow and sew both the swamp and common varieties of milkweed. Monarchs are frequently in and around my yard but I want to see more of them every year.
