probably 20 or so. I just leave the shutter open and close it after a strike. More weather coming tonight I may try again

Brilliant. Can I ask what your ISO and f stop was? I have been trying rapid shots but always miss them I will try you way next time
f18 ISO 125 4 sec exposure 24mm
But these are specs that seem to work from my deck. The camera is on a tripod set to Bulb and attached to a remote release. I'm under cover from the rain and sitting next to the camera. Also has to be at night or the prolonged exposure (that I am just guessing at) would wash out the pic.
I'd suggest googling "lightning photography" and setting everything up before your next storm so you aren't scrambling. Good luck
Thanks. I am looking forward to the next storm 🔥
That is awesome... wow
thanks
remember safety first. I'm under cover and I believe a lot of people who do this do it from a car
Thanks. I did over look that fact... yes safety first always
Also, set the lens to Manual focus so the AutoFocus isn't hunting when you open the shutter each time
Fantastic point. Had that problem once before and could not understand why there was no clear image
