But these are specs that seem to work from my deck. The camera is on a tripod set to Bulb and attached to a remote release. I'm under cover from the rain and sitting next to the camera. Also has to be at night or the prolonged exposure (that I am just guessing at) would wash out the pic.

no, it's an abandoned tower in marshland right on a creek. 50' high, 100 yards from the road. Only human access by boat. Shot at 800mm. It's a great location for them
