Uh, no it's not. Why don't you see *what* his ghoulish homeless policy actually is?
Uh, no it's not. Why don't you see *what* his ghoulish homeless policy actually is?
So what’s your policy?
California's homeless programs can be found @calmatters.org. If you want to raise awareness of policies, consider adding a link to your source. BTW, what have you done to help the homeless? Do you speak with the people and instruct them where to find shelter, food, medical care and financial aid?
>BTW, what have you done to help the homeless? Actually treating them like human. I chat with them on the bus, help them out when they need their stuff carried. Which is more than your ghoulish god is doing. Destroying the lives of people who already have it tough, get a real hero.
I'm a psychiatric nurse working with homeless and mentally ill people. Three decades working in community health. I help people recover their lives and reconnect with family and society. I know where to find resources for people in need, which includes offering food, drinks and emergency housing.
And you're already doing a shit load than @governor.ca.gov plans to. Cuz his plan consists entirely of seizing their possessions and destroying what shelter they have to scatter them into the elements. If he's making "safer homes", it's only in the sense of scrubbing the homeless out of your sight.
Oh snap, so how does destroying what security to scatter them like rats into the elements actually help them out? Take your time. I won't read it, since I'll have you on mute, but by all means rub your brain cells together to justify violence and exile 🥱
Here in LA ppl whose encampments are cleared are regularly offered shelter - belongings are required to be stored. Some ppl I know have been housed or sort of bullied into shelters. The problem is lack of beds / homes / psych care. Some mentally ill folks make *a lot* of pointless mess so…
Well it's good to know that "offering shelter" is only possible after seizing their possessions - papers, medications, ashes of loved ones, glasses, all these things and enacting police violence on them. Impossible to offer services without state violence, clearly I'm not smart enough for this 🙄
I called paramedics for two young ppl who had passed out in their vomit and crapped themselves this week. Contact with the state is sometimes necessary
That isn’t how it has to go! People’s shit can be stored or retained - and that is what is required here. Sometimes this doesn’t happen and that is fucked up. But some ppl also just create pointless crap and are making life harder for their neighbors on the street and off.
When you have to lie this badly, you're just flailing. Shelter offers come first - days beforehand. They're all given the chance to move on - days beforehand. Nothing is "seized" unless you're arrested for refusing to stop the illegal activity. I'm not sure why you keep promoting lawlessness?
Of course you won't read it. Because you're not interested in solutions. You just want to complain. It helps them (and the community) by not allowing them to live in dangerous, unsanitary conditions and create a public health and safety hazard.
