I have a lot more confidence in Waymo autonomous vehicles than the ones made by Tesla. For a time the Waymo's will have a human driver in them.

Took 2 Waymos when in San Francisco in June; no human driver. Felt extremely safe. It even avoided a car that cut us off by swiftly but smoothly maneuvering, & gave a honk to the offending driver as well. Impressed by its awareness of pedestrians, bikes, & motorcycles who lane split legally in CA.

The Waymo autonomous vehicles use a range of sensors including audio, cameras, lidar and radar. These are coupled with high definition maps, advanced AI and machine learning models. Tesla vehicles utilize a camera-centric system, ultrasonic sensors and neural networks. Waymo is vastly better!
