James Bond films are incredibly overrated and mostly boring despite the often admittedly excellent set pieces.

Also, the Bourne films are significantly better despite being poor adaptations (and barely even that) of the source material.

the first one. the exec producer of the bond movies loved these books and cast this unknown actor named maurice micklewhite as the lead(after he changed his name to michael caine). They're very anti James Bond.
