No matter what there's going to be some groups that will not be happy with the candidate chosen. I have a trans son. I worry.

If Democrats win elections while saying trans people should lose the rights they currently have, and shouldn't gain any further rights, then trans people will lose their rights for at least a generation. Look at how fast that's happening in the UK now that being anti-trans is mainstream politics

But for analogy imagine that you're drowning and the only way you could be saved is by someone grabbing you by the genitals. I don’t think a perfect political candidate exists, I very much believe in electing policies not people but that being said, the inverse is not true. There are disqualifying factors, Newsom has hit a bunch of them.
