I just rewatched it. I love it also. Maybe my favorite also.

My favourite Hitchcock too. (K)
Sadly, I didn't start till after midnight and out of the anniversary or I'd have workshopped a joke about my favourite people's princess who died in a car crash. Kelly, as a proactive heroine out to prove herself to Stewart, is great here.
I just love Jimmy Stewart. Could watch him act all day. One of those casually brilliant actors.
Indeed, Jimmy Stewart being so good is key to him and Kelly feeling like a couple despite him being continually grumpy with her. Perfectly pitched.
The simple moment of Raymond Burr seeing Stewart is one of the great "Oh fuck" moments in cinema.
Yeah, great film. Every bit perfectly pitched. From what I was reading, this and the other Paramount Hitchcock's were out of circulation for 20 years till Universal bought the rights to them in the 80s. Mad. Especially as Vertigo was one of the other films affected!
Godzilla couldn't finish off Raymond Burr, Jimmy Stewart could. A lesson for us all.
Tied for 1st with Dial M For Murder.
