I would love to see the Millennial category broken down by student loans as well. Yes, it’s essentially a tax at this point, but by removing money you are essentially lowering their pay and removing their ability to save. I’m willing to bet there is a link between student loans and pension savings

my student loan took 21 years to pay off. My partner graduated 18 years ago and is currently paying off £200 a month. And we were lucky - these were only type 1 loans!

I had about £10k of student debt (1999-03 student) which felt like a lot at the time but it’s a different planet and interest rate to what people have today I wonder at what point large numbers will decide uni isn’t worth it? At Schroders we also have a school leavers program. Must be tempting?
