It may be a real breaking point in the transatlantic relationship. I m not sure even Trump can afford it.

Tariffs haven’t severed the bond, American is bankrupt and he’s using tariffs to claw back money for the federal government. Putting 10 percent on the UK hasn’t severed our bond with decent Americans.

Tariffs have severely damaged the relationship; but Europe didn‘t retaliate because of security dependencies particularly related to the war. If he throws Ukraine and thereby Europe under the bus, I‘d expect the damaged Relationship to break.
