Frech ist, diese Frage aufzubringen, NACHDEM Deutschland den Beitritt Polens in die EU und NATO möglich gemacht hat - und NACHDEM D auf Gebietsansprüche jenseits der Oder/Neiße verzichtet hat - und NACHDEM… Es ist ein wirklich billiges populistisches Manöver, bei schlechter Argumentation.

Politische/Verhandlungsperspektive: D hätte einem polnischen Beitritt zur EU und NATO kaum zugestimmt, wenn Polen auf Reparationen geltend gemacht hätte. Jahrzehnte später das Thema auszugraben, um eine 80 Jahre alte Rechnung begleichen zu wollen, darf man sehr wohl als „cheap shot“ bezeichnen.

Die polnischen Abtretungen an Russland sind schwerlich gegen Deutsche Gebietsverluste gegen D geltend zu machen. Der heutige Wert ist zudem erheblich höher als „ein paar Mrd damals“. Die Erträge aus der Nutzung des Landes (80J) müssten ebenfalls bedacht werden zzgl. etc. Gedanken aus der BWL/VWL.

Not sure that I share his analysis of 2022/23. To me, it is one of the unwritten laws of authoritarianism and dictatorships: It is almost impossible to unleash the full economic potential without allowing for property rights. However, independent courts do NOT exist in this setting.

Wäre schön, wenn es auch mit Polen eine gemeinsame Historiker-Kommission gäbe, die ein gemeinsames Geschichtsbild erarbeiteten - ähnlich der seinerzeit zwischen Kohl und Mitterand ins Leben gerufenen. So selbstbewusst sind unsere östlichen Nachbarn aber leider (noch?) nicht.

Orban wird so lang wie möglich auf Zeit spielen, um maximale Konzessionen zu erhalten. Ultimativ wird er die Frage vermeiden: Ungarn oder Ukraine?
Frieden kommt nicht, wenn der Angegriffene aufhört zu kämpfen. Was dann kommt, ist Okkupation - eine Weiterführung des Krieges mit Folter, Entführungen, Vergewaltigungen, Zwangsadoptionen, Mord. Wer will, dass „das Sterben aufhört“, muss den Aggressor stoppen und zurückdrängen.

Die Zusammenarbeit mit Habeck wurde seitens des BV-SH sehr kontrovers diskutiert. Dieses gewachsene Vertrauen hat Schwarz-Grün und damit Günther erst möglich gemacht. Und wenn man der CSU das Feindbild Grüne wegnähme, bliebe außer heißer Luft und Stammtisch nicht viel übrig vom mia san mia.

- Peter Harry sollte es aber Inhaltlich mit der FDP restituieren. Danach war dann auch in der sH-CDU ein Generationenwechsel dran. Am Ende spielt die Nähe zu Dänemark und Skandinavien sicher auch eine Rolle, wo ein anderer politischer Umgang gepflegt wird. 2/x

Tariffs have severely damaged the relationship; but Europe didn‘t retaliate because of security dependencies particularly related to the war. If he throws Ukraine and thereby Europe under the bus, I‘d expect the damaged Relationship to break.
